CLINT GRUNEWALD James Clinton "Grunie" Grunewald, age 54, of Cedarview, died March 23, 2014, at his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born September 18, 1959, in Roosevelt, to Freddie Carol and Dolores Brown Grunewald. He married Erna Kim LaRose on November 25, 1977, in Roosevelt.

Clint worked as a roughneck and a welder in the oil field most of his life. He enjoyed boxing, hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, leatherworking, art, candlemaking, native beading, Dutch Oven cooking, gun collecting, western swing dancing, and was a craftsman. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and liked to ride motorcycles and 4 wheelers.

Clint was a singer with the Chipeta Lake Drum Group, was a Sundancer, and a sweat lodge keeper. He had a great sense of humor and was the biggest fan of his grandkids' sports. He would follow them all over watching them play whatever sport was in season. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Clint is survived by his wife of 36 years, Erna of Cedarview; daughter, Andrea Nichol (Adam) Gurr, Ioka; son, Travis Grunewald (Bobbie Horrocks), LaPoint; grandchildren, Jordan & Kobe Gurr; Dane Lieshman, Olivia & Cora Horrocks. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Orlie Grunewald.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary where there will be a viewing on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. Also, after the Wednesday viewing, he will be taken to his home in Cedarview for a traditional wake. Burial will be in the Cedarview Cemetery.
