Albert J. Bosler, Sr.
Albert J. Bosler, Sr., age 79, of Winterset Farms, Wilmington, DE died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St Francis Hospital.
Mr. Bosler retired from Huber Launch in Marcus Hook, PA. Prior to that he owned and operated Serv-Co, a heating and oil company. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree and he was a Sensei in Karate. He served in the Korean War for the U.S. Navy and after the war he was in the U.S. Merchant Marines.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Margaret Bosler; brothers, Chuck and Jack Bosler and sisters, Frances Coleman and Mary Hodgson. He is survived by his loving lifemate of 22 years, Hope Swanson; daughters, Theresa Ann (Walter), Deborah Saragino (Vincent), Kathleen Hannum (Marc); son, A.J. (Kelly); stepchildren, William Swanson (Tracey), Matthew Swanson and Donna Shiarra (Joseph); 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Bosler (Cass); and brother-in-law, Gary Hodgson.
A funeral service will be Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11am at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware Street, New Castle, DE 19720, where friends may visit with the family beginning at 10am. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
