Age 57, son of Irene Metzler Allison and the late Kermit Allison. He was a 1959 graduate of Cathedral Prep and a 1965 graduate of Gannon University where he earned a bachelor's degree in science and business administration. He was the sole owner of UTEK Inc., prior to his founding of Tollgrade in 1986, a manufacturer of testing devices used by telephone companies. He was a member of St. Peter Cathedral.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Considine Allison; three sons, the Rev. Michael Allison and R. Craig Allison Jr., and his wife Gina, all of Erie, and Chris Allison and his wife Jane, of Pittsburgh; two brothers, R. Keith Allison and Msgr. Bruce R. Allison; and three grandchildren.
Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
