Mrs. Mary Schwering, 80 years old of Glen Allen, was born in Ohio. The former Miss Mary Funke has resided in this county many years.
She was married to Henry Schwering, who preceded her in death several years ago.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Claude Lutes of Glen Allen, Mo.; one son, William Schwering of East Alton, Ill.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ed Funke of Marley, Mo.; John Funke of Chicago, Ill.; Fred Funke of Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Burns of Glen Allen, Mo; Alma Funke of St. Louis, Mo.; and Mrs. Lillie Stamm of Roberts, Ill.
Funeral services were Friday September 9 at the Methodist Church in Glen Allen. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Baker in charge of services. Rebekah Lodge was charge at the grave.
