BREEDING, Wylie G. "SMOKEY"; of Waterford, age 78, October 30, 2001; born November 2, 1922 in Kentucky; son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Breeding; loving husband for 60 years of Ruby H.; father of Nancy Frizzle, Kathleen Ashley (Jim) and the late Dale and David Breeding; grandfather of eleven; great-grandfather of seventeen and great-great-grandfather on one; brother of William Harvey Breeding (Marguerite), Buford Red Breeding (Betty), Clifford Breeding (Sheila), and Delbert Breeding (Dorothy); also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He retired after 18 years of service with the Birmingham School District. Mr. Breeding served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member of the Heart of the Lakes V.F.W. Post #1008, a Life Member of Waterford Eagles Aerie #2887 and a former member of the Perry Pioneers Band.
A Celebration of Wylies Life will be held Friday, November 2, 2001, 11 a.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home. Pastor Curt Motsinger officiating. Interment to follow at Crescent Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Eagles Memorial Service Thursday 7:30 p.m.
