ADAM NORWOOD EYLER, 832 West Washington Street, died at the Gateway Nursing Home Saturday, after an illness of several weeks, aged 83 years. Born and reared in Thurmont, he was the son of Adam and Margaret (McClain) Eyler. He had resided in Hagerstown for the past 52 years.

He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the Junior Order, United American Mechanics, Pen Mar Council No. 25, Cascade.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Earl Gibney, Mrs. Helen Hamilton, Mrs. John Smith, Mrs. Wilbur McAllister; son, Walter S. Eyler; sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Bentzel; brother, Samuel Eyler, all of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Services were held at the Coffman Funeral Home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
