Paul O. Gilbert, 68, died at 6 p.m. Sunday at his home at 411 Turnpike Ave. Clearfield. He was the owner and operator of Gilbert's Grocery Store.
He was a member of the Clearfield Elks Lodge 540 and the Third Ward Hose Company.
His wife, the former Margaret Bloom, preceded him in death.
Born in Clearfield, January 21, 1903 he was the son of Richard and Hette (Paull) Gilbert.
He is survived by a son, Paul L. of Saugus Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild and two brothers Richard of Clearfield, and William, Nanty Glo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home. The Rev. John Stamm will officiate and interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow afternoon and evening and until the services on Thursday. Elks services will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
