A former employe of the Lebanon Steel Foundry, he was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Annville American Legion. He was an army veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Marion (Sterner) Rupp; a daughter, Miss Enid Rupp, at home; four sisters: Hattie, wife of Walter Boltz, Lebanon; Gertrude, wife of Rev. Norman I. Fake, Pine Grove; Anna, wife of John L. Miller, Cleona; Lizzie, wife of Ralph Walmer, Annville; and a brother, Carroll, Miami, Fla. He was the son of the late Lincoln and Annie (Boltz) Rupp.
