Funeral services for Velda Wooley McCurdy Corralz, 49, how died Jan. 17, 1981 from open heart surgery, were Monday, Jan. 19, at the Berg-Sunset Lawn Mortuary in Salt Lake City.

Born June 12, 1931 in Tridell to Milton and Della Moosman Wooley. She married Mont McCurdy; they later divorced. Married Joe Corralz April 27, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nev. Member of the LDS Church.

Survivors are husband; sons and daughters, Nyle McCurdy of Sacramento, Calif., Neal McCurdy of Sandy, DeLila Smith of Midvale, DeAnn McCurdy of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren; parents of Vernal; brothers, Weldon and Norman both of Vernal; and sisters, Mrs. Myton (Berta) Young, Mrs. Eileen Yano both of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Jess (Clea) Larsen of Lapoint, Mrs. John (Nila Jean) of Salt Lake City.

Family prayer was offered by an uncle, Preston Atwood. Ron Broomhead officiated the services. The opening prayer was given by an uncle, Laris Wooley, who also gave the obituary. Musical selections of "That Wonderful Mother of Mine" and "Whispering Hope" were sung by Margaret Peterson. Leida Atwood, an aunt, spoke. The closing prayer was given by a brother-in-law, Jess Larsen.

Burial was in the Berg-Sunset Garden of the Valley.
