Mrs. Norma Jo (Cash) Marshall passed away May 1, 2008, at the age of 84. She was born in Paden, Okla., and lived there until the war. She worked in Washington, D.C., for a while and then returned to Oklahoma when she got homesick.
Jo worked at the Douglas Plant in Oklahoma, until she met and married Eugene Marshall on Feb. 26, 1946. They moved to Bishop, Calif., and lived there for more than a year, then to Victorville where she lived for 60 years. Eugene died in 1993.
Jo worked for the Terry Lee Doll Factory in the early 50's and then for the Montgomery Ward Catalog store for 13 years. She was a home-maker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jo was a member of the Victor Valley Church of Christ for more than 50 years. She belonged to the Victor
Valley Women's Club.
Survivors are daughters, Eugenia Bishop (Earl) of Folsom, Marti Walters (John); sister, Bonnie Taber (Earl) of Edmond, Okla.; brother Martin Cash (Mary) of Meeker, Okla.; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Desert View Funeral Home, 11478 Amargosa Road in Victorville. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the Victor Valley Church of Christ, 13150 Sycamore St. in Victorville. In lieu of flowers those wishing to donate in Jo's name may donate to the Lupus Foundation, Alzheimers Association or the Victor Valley Church of Christ for their missions fund.
