Joseph L. headlee, 86, of Waynesburg, Pa,died August 5 ,1997 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, PA, after a short illness.
He was born September 22, 1910, son of Phineas L. Headlee and Alice Whitlatch Headlee at Brock, PA.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Waynesburg, Pa and the Fort Jackson Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He worked for 42 years as a manager for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Unemployment Security in Washington, Greensburg, and Waynesburg. He retired in 1972.
He married Frankie Boor Headlee November 26, 1930, who died October 8,1992.
He is survived by two daughters, Shirlee Headlee Milliken of Waynesburg. PA and Karen Headlee Bogucki of Carmichaels, PA., a son, Joseph L. Headlee II of Springfield, VA. Deceased in addition to his wife are a granddaughter Susan Diane Milliken and his sister Winifred Headlee Buchanan....Washington Observer August 6,1997.
