The daughter of Stanley Joseph Jakulski, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Heavner, "Flo" married Vincent Girard "Sid" Carey in June of 1947. He was a World War II veteran, and they were the parents of 3 children.

Flo worked as an administrative assistant for the Conservation Department for the State of Illinois. She worked there until her retirement.

Flo's husband, Sid, died in 1963 at the age of 40.

Children from first marriage: 3 sons.

Flo married Robert L. Coffman on 19 Jun 1972 in Jerseyville, Illinois. He was the father of 3 children from a previous marriage.

They moved from Illinois to Elizabeth, Arkansas in 1994.

She was active in a variety of civic, work and social organizations over the years. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary in Alton, Illinois and served as president of the American Legion Auxiliary of Grafton for a time.

She was a member of the State Employees Union. She belonged to Women of the Moose in Jerseyville. She was a member of the Hand Cover Fire Department of Elizabeth, Arkansas.

Flo was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.

Children from second marriage: 1 step-son, 2 step-daughters.

Flo died at her home after battling cancer. At the time of her death, she was 71 years, 5 months and 27 days old.

She was survived by her husband, Robert; 2 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, all of Grafton; 1 daughter-in-law of Jerseyville; 3 step-children and their spouses; 19 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Judy Draper of Alton, Illinois.

In addition to her first husband, Flo was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Mike Carey; and 1 brother, Stan Jakulski, Jr.

Visitation was held on 18 Dec 2000 at Baxter County Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas. A second visitation was held on 20 Dec 2000 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 10 a.m. the following morning at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grafton.

The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks.

Flo's second husband, Robert, passed away in 2004.
