Mr. Bynum was born on Aug. 9, 1933, in Clovis, N.M. He was a veteran of the Army. He had worked for the Amarillo Globe-News for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Bynum; two daughters, Dena Brown and Dawn Henderson, all of Amarillo; a son Dee Bynum of Plano; a sister, Sue Bowen, of Dallas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial to Baptist St. Anothony Hospice, in care of Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer
