Glenwood F. "JR." Martin, JR passed away Thursday evening, March 20, 2014 at Sidney Regional Medical Center Extended Care Unit, Sidney, Nebraska. JR was born on December 28, 1946 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. JR was the son of Glenwood F, SR. and Doris M. Martin of Sidney, Nebraska and the grandson of Herman and Mary Martin of Dalton, Nebraska and William and Ella Brandt of Fort Morgan, Colorado.

JR attended school in various western states and spent much of his adult life as a farmer working the family owned land in Colorado. JR moved to Sidney with his parents when they retired. He worked at Cabela's warehouse for a few years. He enjoyed watching old movie classics.

His most memorable experience was visiting the Holy Land and "walking where Jesus walked". He drew great comfort from his faith in God. He was a faithful member of the First Christian Church, Sidney, Nebraska where he served as a deacon.

Graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Dalton Cemetery, Dalton, Nebraska with Pastor Mark Zalesky of the First Christian Church Sidney, Nebraska as officiator.
