LEESVILLE — Services for Carson A. "Bill" Alewine, 82, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 22, 2014, at Union Lutheran Church by the Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Dennis Campbell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Union Lutheran Church, 4077 Hwy. 378, Leesville, SC 29070 or Tri- County Hospice, 166 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210. Visitation will be Friday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel.
Mr. Alewine passed away Wednesday March 19, 2014. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late McCoy and Arzie McCartha Alewine. He was a member of Union Lutheran Church and retired from Swift Premium and the S.C. Dept. of Transportation.
Survivors include sons, Stanley (Marlynn) Alewine, Carlton (Tammy) Alewine and Russell (Jennifer) Alewine, brother, Robert Alewine, sister, Juanita Clarke, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Lindler Alewine, brothers, J. V. Alewine, Norris Alewine, sisters, Doris Alewine, and Linda Athas.
