MANSFIELD: ANNIE LUCILLE CANNADA, 72, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness.

Annie was born on May 30, 1941, in Louise, Mississippi, to the late Malachi Jones and Persephone Marie Miller-Jones. She lived in Mansfield most of her adult life.

She was a member of Maddox Memorial Church COGIC, for many of years. She served in many capacities; Senior Church Mother Secretary and Radio Announcer.

Annie leaves to cherish in her memory, a son, Herbert Cannada III, of Mansfield; a daughter, Tania Lewis and granddaughter, Brianna Lewis, both of Canal Winchester, Ohio; six sisters, LaDorothy Hunter, of Memphis, Tennessee, Joyce (Elder Albert) Twyman, Esther (Robert) Clark and Sharon (Elder Louis) Blevins, all of Mansfield; Alexis Selmon, of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Thomasine Wallace, of Canton, Ohio; three brothers, Herman Earl (Terri) Jones, of Columbus, Ohio, Thomas L. Jones, of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Jerome Jones, of Canton, Ohio; an uncle, James Ferebee, of Mansfield, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Cannada Sr.; parents, Malachi Jones and Persephone Marie Miller-Jones; sister, Juanita Deener; brother, Malachi Jones Jr.

The services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 a.m., with one hour prior calling at Maddox Memorial COGIC, 1148 Walker Lake Road, Mansfield, Ohio, with Elder Aaron Williams Sr. officiating. The burial will be held on Monday, at Oak Grove Memorial Park, Lexington, Ohio.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the home of her niece Marie Jones-Williams, 1010 Pearce Drive, Mansfield, Ohio, until the day of the service.
