Richard Joseph "Joe" Barnette, 52, of Parkersburg, died Nov. 15, 2008, in Hancock County, Ind.
He was born in Franklin County, Ohio, on March 2, 1956, a son of the late Starling Everett Barnette and Eva B. (Stoops) Barnette. He was Christian by faith and a truck driver.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Joseph Barnette of Columbus, Ohio; fiancee, Ivy Massey of Parkersburg; two sisters, Linda Hersman of Wirt County and Suzanne (Barnette) Fox of Mineral Wells; two grandchildren, Gabby and Claira; and four nieces and nephews, Michael Hunter Fox, Chloe Suzanne Fox, Katherine Jo Hersman and Annalene Joy Hersman.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at The Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Evangelist Randy Yerby officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
