Harlin Sullivan Fissel, age 87, Logansport, passed away at 8:20 a.m., on Thursday, March 20, 2014, in Memorial Hospital.

Born July 1, 1926, in Twelve Mile, he was the son of Roy Curt and Enid Nancy Sullivan Fissel.

On May 18, 1967, he was married to Lois M. Phillips, who survives, in Logansport.

Harlin was retired from Wabash Wholesale. He had been a member of the Logansport Eagles, and was awarded a life-time membership to the Logansport Moose, where he was Past Governor.

Most important to Harlin was his family. He also had a life-time love of motorcycles.

Also surviving are children, Sharon Wood, Vero Beach, FL, Mary M. Fissel, Logansport, Lois (Rick) Smith, Lynnwood, WA, Shirley (Larry) Selleck, Galveston, Susan Fissel Bowen, Logansport, Sheryl (Hugh) Selleck, Logansport, Bill (Becki) Harris, Logansport and Doris (Bob) Hall, Rochester; a half-brother, Don (Pam) Fissel, Warren, PA, a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by sons, Charles LeRoy Fissel and Michael Edward Harris; grandson, Michael P. Bever, sister, Enid Hunt; brothers, Robert Fissel and Gene Fissel; and half-sister, June Scharf.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014, at the funeral home, with Pastor Ken Bass officiating.

Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
