He was born October 17, 1931 in Bismarck, WV and was a son of the late Aaron B. Cosner and Flossie M. (Moore) Cosner. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harley Cosner and brother-in-law, Vernon Hanlin.
Mr. Cosner was a retired truck driver and was a member of the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music and was a member of the Sulfur City Strings.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Cosner, their son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Kim Cosner of Mt. Storm, WV and one grandson, Adam Cosner and wife, Amanda of Morgantown, WV; one sister, Norma Hanlin of Mt. Storm, WV and two brothers, Wardney Cosner of Mt. Storm, WV and Ronald L. Cosner of Elk Garden, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive family and friends at the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren on Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be Friday 11:00 a.m. (December 13, 2013) at the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren with Rev. John E. Walker officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Interment will be in the Likens-Cosner Family Cemetery at Bismarck, WV.
