Donald Lee Ashworth
Donald Lee Ashworth will be receiving guests at Brown-Cummings funeral home Thursday, March 20, from 5-7 p.m.
Burial will be held the following day, Friday, March 21, in Ponca City IOOF Cemetery with Michael Surbaugh officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born on April 20, 1923 the son of William and Anna Elam Ashworth in Sand Springs and passed away on March 15, 2014, in Enid.
He graduated from Ponca City High School. He married Marjorie Peggy Schneider on Aug. 14, 1943, in Ponca City. He attended the Orange County Community College in California for two years. He returned to Ponca City in 1949 then made his home in Enid in 1950.
He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Oklahoma Square Dance Federation.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Melody and husband, Sylvan Reynolds; granddaughter, Megan and husband, Harvey Lavicky Jr. and his beloved cat, Pumpkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
