Mrs. Laura Malcom died Friday morning, March 22, at three o’clock following an illness of some duration. Mrs. Malcom was a devoted member of Hiner Church of the Brethren; she was well liked in the community in which she lived. She is survived by two sons, Claude and Thomas Malcom, and five grandchildren. After a short service in the home her funeral was held from Hiner Church Sunday at 2 o’clock by her pastor, Rev. M. J. Craun assisted by Rev. Martin Sanger and Rev. L. M. Moffett. Hymns used were Abide with Me; Nearer My God to Thee; Rock of Ages, and Looking this Way, as a duet sung by Rev. and Mrs. Craun. Burial was in McKendree Cemetery.

Mrs. Laura Malcom passed away March 15 after a short illness. She was the widow of Mr. Brown Malcom and before her marriage was Miss Rusmisel. She is survived by two sons Claude and Thomas Malcom and several grand children. She had been a faithful and consistent member of the Brethern church for many years. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Hiner church conducted by her pastor, Rev. M. J. Craun, assisted by Rev. Garber and Rev. Moffett.
