Laura Battle, is the sister of Will Battle, who is on the same marker at Valleytown Cemetery, Andrews, Cherokee Co., NC. Their NC Death Certificates indicate the same parents, and that neither was ever married. Laura E.'s Death Cert. #44887-1969(Cherokee Co.); William "Willard" Mack's Death Cert. #19489-1956 (Burke Co.). It took me a long time to figure this out, but the NC death certificates are now on Ancestry.com and this is what helped clear the matter, as their marker in the cemetery does not indicate that they are brother and sister. Thank you so much for all of the hard work that you obviously have done, as I have inventoried smaller cemeteries in AL and know just what is involved.
