Mrs. Seymour was born in Elberton on March 2, 1925, daughter of the late Seaborn Hensley "Seab" Lunsford and Martie Frances Burden Lunsford. She was retired from Elberton Manufacturing Company and, with her husband Billy, was the operator of Seymour's Grocery in downtown Dewy Rose for many years. Sallie was a devoted member of Stinchcomb United Methodist Church as well as a 35 year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a lover of needlework having made various items and a talented seamstress who made numerous wedding dresses. Although she never had any biological children, "Aunt Sallie" was a mother figure to her nieces, nephews, and many children in the community.
