Bobbie Clark Nease, 87, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born March 6, 1925, in Lincoln, MO, son of Willis Raymond and Jennie May Case Nease.

On March 11, 1972, in Columbia, he married Mildred Josephine "Mickey" Payne, who preceded him in death on July 15, 2008.

Mr. Nease was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the 40&8, Voiture 333 and attended First Christian Church. He enjoyed square dancing. He volunteered with the Bothwell Regional Health Center Auxiliary, delivered Meals on Wheels and was in charge of ticket sales at the Liberty Center. He dearly loved his Maltese dog, Sugar Baby.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Thompson, and her husband, Keith, of Jefferson City; a granddaughter, Heather M. Thompson; and a brother, Herb Nease, of Lee's Summit.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page officiating. The 40&8, Voiture 333 will conduct rites.

Casket bearers will be: Bob West, David Craig, Jim Gaertner, Bobbie Lee, Leroy Wimer and Keith Thompson.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 2591.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time Monday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Red Cross.
