Joan C. Lippis, 75, passed away March 16, 2014 in Canon City, Colorado. The daughter of Andrew and Hannah (Adamic) Kimmick, she was born on April 1, 1938 in Prospect Heights. She lived her entire life in Canon City, attending St. Michael grade school and then St. Scholastic Academy. In June of 1955, Joan was united in marriage to Anthony Lippis. She was a lifetime member of St. Michael Catholic Church, and was secretary/treasurer of the Southern Canon Ditch Company. Her hobbies were taking care of her family. Mrs. Lippis is survived by her husband, Anthony; children, Ray (Vicky) Lippis, George Lippis, and Ray (Rhonda) Lippis all of Canon City; grandchildren, Heather Lippis, Anthony Lippis, Tony Lippis, and Stephanie Cutter; great grandchildren, Riley, Abrianna, Dominic, Tilten, and soon to be born Tenley; sister, Jeanne (Tom) Butler of Denver; and aunt, Julia Javernick of Canon City, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents. Recitation of the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Canon City, CO. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony's Chapel at St. Michael Church, 1016 Mystic Ave., Canon City, CO 81212 Arrangements are under the care of Holt Family Funeral Home.
