LaReine (nee Beavens) Butler
September 15, 1917 - March 15, 2014

LaReine's parents were William Beavens and Laura Chatleain Beavens.

LaReine passed away in her home where she happily spent most of her 96 years. She met her husband, Richard, when they both were students at Macalester College where she graduated with a double major in French and Business.

LaReine and Richard were married in Holy Spirit Parish. Her energy and love were devoted to family. LaReine was a prize-winning knitter, and was known for her personal touch on homemade cards. For over 60 years LaReine treasured time spent at Fishtrap Lake.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard. She is survived by a brother, John Beavens and his wife, Dorothy. Her children are Susan Kiefer with husband Peter, Richard W. Butler, Thomas Butler with wife Margie, Anne Marie Butler with husband Thomas Mullen Jr., and LaReine Jechort. Grandchildren are Peter, Laura, John, RiAnna, Danielle, Ryan, Mike, and Brooke. Many nieces, nephews and friends have added to her joy.

A funeral mass will be said for her at 10 AM on Thursday, March 20th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 515 South Albert St., St. Paul. The outpouring of love, support, and prayers is deeply appreciated by LaReine's family.
