Private services for Mrs. William (Eva Marie) Durkee, 84, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Chapel with the Rev. Frederick Muller officiating.
Mrs. Durkee died Sunday morning at a local hospital after being ill several months. She was born Sept 2, 1880, in Muscatine, Iowa. She had lived in Fremont 78 years, and was a member of St. James' Episcopal Church and Order of Eastern Star.
Her husband died 12 years ago. Survivors are her sisters, Mrs. Frank (Della) Gardner and Mrs. Sarah Johnson, both of Fremont.
Cremation will follow the service. A memorial fund has been established for the church.
