Aberdeen - Gladys Marie Olsen, 82, of Aberdeen died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1620 Milwaukee Avenue N.E., Aberdeen with Rev. Allan Schoonover officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Monday, at Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 South Main St., Aberdeen, with a public prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Visitation continues Tuesday from 8-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home and also for one hour prior to the service at the church. Gladys Marie Harrington was born Sept. 5, 1923, near Ordway, in Brown County, to Fay Perry and Nellie Victoria (Ashbaugh) Harrington. She attended and graduated from Frederick High School in 1941. Gladys married Gaylen K. Olsen on June 28, 1947 at Frederick, S.D. She became employed part-time at Aberdeen Telco Federal Credit Union, now known as Consolidated Hub-Co Federal Credit Union, in 1965 and worked there until the time of her retirement in 1985. She was also an Avon representative for nearly eleven years. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she did volunteer work. She was also a member of W.E.L.C.W. and the American Legion Auxiliary. Gladys enjoyed spending time with her family, doing count cross stitching, reading and was a great baseball fan. She especially enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins. Her memory lives on with her husband, Gaylen Olsen of Aberdeen; her son, Michael (Pat) Olsen of Aberdeen; her daughter, Gaileen (Gerald) Gramling of Mandan, N.D.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, and one daughter. Casket bearers will be grandsons, Jason Gramling, Shane Gramling, Chad Olsen, Tim Anderson; son-in-law, Jerry Gramling and nephew, Rodney Barr. Honorary casket bearers will be all of her friends.
