SHELBY Mr. Robert W. Callahan, 57, formerly of Charlotte, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at his home.
A native of Cleveland County and born Sept. 12, 1948.
He was a research chemist for Hoechst-Celanese in Charlotte for nearly 20 years, and was a member of Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte and the Dan Proctor Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church in Shelby.
He served in the Army and was a long time member of the American Chemical Society.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Joseph Callahan.
