Verne Fairholm, Peru

Services for Verne Fairholm, 77, rural Peru, who died April 3 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Monday, April 6, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born at Bingham Canyon, Utah on June 3, 1909, he was the son of Frank and Flora Brown Fairholm. He was a retired farmer and was married to Florence Brown in Winterset on Jan. 27, 1935.

Mr. Fairholm moved to Madison County around 1918, coming from Massena, Iowa. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge No. 136 in Winterset, the Crown Rebekah Lodge No. 360 and a past Noble Grand of the lodge.

Survivors include his wife, sons, Marvin and Richard, both of Winterset; a sister, Iris Ham of Winterset; and eight grandchildren
