Lee Center - Mrs. Lena E. Liebi, 93, widow of Godrey Liebi, died at 7:20 today in a Rome hospital. She had been ill since a fall in her home February 19 in which she suffered a broken hip.
She was born in the town of Verona July 22, 1852, a daughter of the late Jacob and Christina Gleasman Bergman. She was the last of a family of four children.
In West Branch 64 years ago she was married to Godfrey Liebi who died September 7, 1907. She lived in West Branch until coming to Lee Center in 1909. She was a member of the local Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Emma Hartson, Rome, a son, Alfred Liebi, Lee Center, 12 grandchildren, also 18 great-grandchildren, and a niece, Bertha Bergman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Griffin & Aldridge Funeral Home, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
