Benjamin James Sellers, 71, died July 3 at Garden Terrace Nursing Home. He was born in Ware County and lived in Douglasville for 43 years. He was self-employed in construction work and served in the Army during World War II. He was married to the late Corrine Strickland Sellers.

Survivors include four sons, Benjamin James Sellers Jr. and Gary Lamar Sellers, both of Whitesburg, Raymond Jones Sellers of Steinhatchee, FL, and Allen Hubert Sellers of Douglasville; four daughters, Margaret Alline Marcovecchio of Douglasville, Karen Sue Sellers of Steinhatchee, Iva Alene Swafford of Villa Rica and Shirley Ann Murphy of Perry; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crosby Funeral Home, Alma, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
