Mr. Wendell "Bud" Arnold Keller, 75, of Newnan, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at his home.

Known as Bud to his many friends. Mr. Keller was born in 1927 in Demorest to George and Myrtle Keller and spent most of his life in that area before moving to Atlanta to work for Lane Rexall. His career with Lane later moved him and his family to Jacksonville, Fla., where he worked for about seven years before settling in Newnan. After retirement, Mr. Keller kept busy helping people by cutting their grass and tending their yards. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, trout fisherman, and camper. He will be remembered as a loving family man who adored all of his family, especially his five girls and many grandchildren. Family gatherings were a common event at his home. It didn't take a special occasion for his house to be completely filled with family, friends, and love.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. The Rev. Melvin Payne will officiate, and burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ben Ray, Andy Ray, Matt Love, Jason Pettis, Matthew Smith, and George Halpern.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Grace Keller; daughters and sons-in-law Gloria and Doug Pettis of Stockbridge; Jo Ann and George Ray of Stockbridge, Pam and George Halpern of Sorrento, Fla., Debbie and Kenneth Smith of Newnan, and Cindy and Doug Tucker of Newnan; brother Bobby Keller of McDonough; sisters Henrietta Neyhart of College Park and Barbara Autrey and her husband Alvin of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
