Ann "Annie" (Harrison) Bentley was born in Bagnall, Staffordshire, England, the daughter of Joseph Harrison and Thirza Bates. She married Arthur Bentley April 18, 1897, in Wellington, Staffordshire, England. They were parents of two children, Ann and Harold. Ann immigrated to Canada a few months after her husband, arriving January 18, 1904, with her daughter who was about 6 and a half years old. They settled in London, Ontario, where she lived the remainder of her life.
