Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Wednesday, April 4, 1962, page 2:
  Hubert W. Jarrett, 68, a former Edwardsville resident, died in Cantonement, Fla., following a several months illness.  Mr. Jarrett, a retired machinist, had resided in Florida 12 years.
  He was born Aug. 3, 1893 at Vincent, Ala., the son of William and Dosia Faulkner Jarrett of Starette, Ala. His wife is the former Miss Eleanor Armbruster of Edwardsville, whom he married Aug. 31, 1918 in Pennsylvania.
  Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, James P. and Robert W. Jarrett of this city; two daughters, Mrs. Curtis F. (Margaret) Jones, Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. James Taylor (Dorothy) Hardin, Montgomery, Ala.; and nine grandchildren. A brother, Clyde preceded him in death.
  Mr. Jarrett was a member of Helena, Ala., Masonic Lodge 410 and a past president of Machinists Lodge in Cantonement.
  Friends may call after 12 noon Friday at the Lesley Marks funeral home where final rites will be conducted that afternoon at 3 o'clock.  The Rev. James Nettleton, of St. John's Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Masonic rites will be held at the gravesite.

Pallbearers were Virgil Davis, Harry Parker, Robert Esterlein, Joseph Wehling, Henry Wehling and John Schumacher.
