Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wed. at Riverside United Methodist Church ieth the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Graveside services will be1 p.m. at Acacia Park Cemetery at Mendota, MN. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. at Berkemier Funeral Home.
Mrs. Greta was born 25 Sept. 1910, in Winona, MN., the daughter of the Rev. William & Zilpah (Jones) Thompson. As a child, she moved to various locations in MN. with her family.
She graduated from Randolph (MN.) High School in 1927. She received her B.A. degree from Hamline University in 1931. She continued for a higher degree at Morningside College & the University of Minnesota at Mankato, MN.
She married Elton E. Greta on 12 June 1935, in Freeborn, MN.
Mrs. Greta moved to Sioux City in 1950. She taught school in MN. for a few years, then at Riverview Elementary chool in Sioux City from 1954-1975.
She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church & the Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include her husband, Elton; a daughter, Glenda (Roger) Nichols of Sioux City; 2 sons, Glendon (Penny) of LaPort, IN. & Gordon (Carol) of Newton, IA.; 6 grandchildren; & 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Smokey; & 2 brothers, William F. & Henry "Tommy".
Memorials may be given to the Riverside United Methodist Church.
