Clara I. Lovins Malicoat 89, of Danville, died July 5, 2011 at Avon Healthcare. She was born Jan. 9, 1922 to William C. and Leola A. (Denny) Lovins. She was the widow of Oscar O. Malicoat, who preceded her in death in 1993. Clara was a homemaker, and operated a furniture and upholstery store in Cartersburg from 1947 until 1958. She was a member of the Brooklyn, In. Church of the Nazerene Services: 11 AM, Saturday, July 9 at Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, with visitation there from 4 - 8 PM, Fri., July 8. Burial: Fairview Cemetery at North Salem. Survivors: children, Dennis L. Waltz, Martinsville, Janis A. Sams, Brooklyn, In., and Randy E. Waltz, Danville; 7 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 3 sisters, Frances Beeson, North Salem, Alberta Malicoat, Plainfield, and Ruth Goodman, Fl. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael D. Malicoat, 2 great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
