Emil G. Angstrom, 77, of 447 Forty-sixth street Moline, died at 3 yesterday afternoon in his home after an illness of about a year. Born in Sweden, Mr. Angstrom had been a resident of this community for about 40 years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon in Esterdahl chapel, the Rev. Alex G. Petrie, pastor of Union Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Blue Grass cemetery, Blue Grass, Ia.
Mr. Angstrom was born May 17, 1869, in Sweden, and came to this country at the age of 3 with his parents. They settled in Blue Grass, Ia., where he lived until he was a young man. Mr. Angstrom married Millie Yost in Blue Grass on April 29, 1896. The couple moved to Monmouth, Ia., and later came to Moline. He was a farmer for several years, but later was employed as a millwright by Deere & Co., until his retirement in 1938.
He was a member of Camp 2783, Modern Woodmen of America, in Monmouth, Ia.
Surviving are the widow; a brother, Charles of Davenport; a niece and four nephews. A sister preceded him in death.
