Quad City Times -- Charley J. Angstrom, 85, of 1222 W. Locust St., Davenport, died Frieday in St. Luke's Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Blue Grass Township, Mr. Angstrom married Augusta Proksch on April 15, 1903, in Davenport. Following their marriage he operated the Blue Grass Hotel and later farmed near Blue Grass until 1935.
Mr. Angstrom was later with the B.G. Hatchery, Davenport. Before his retirement eight years ago, he was with Petersen Harned Von Maur.
Surviving are two sons, Harold W., Davenport; and Edwin H., Stockton; and 2 grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in December, 1928.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in the Runge Chapel, Davenport. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon today.
