Clyde Mason Keiffer, age 96, of Huntington, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Thursday (March 13, 2014) at Heritage of Huntington.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday (April 5, 2014) at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday (April 5, 2014) at Bailey-Love Mortuary.

Burial will be in Mt. Etna Cemetery in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to Salamonie Church of the Brethren for the Gary Couch Memorial Fund, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana.

Clyde was born on August 13, 1917 in Grant County, son of Albert M. and Ora M. (Boller) Keiffer. He graduated from Banquo High School in 1936. He married Eileen L. Couch on March 7, 1940 in Lancaster Township. She preceded him in death on June 23, 2009.

He worked as a lifetime farmer in Wayne Township. He was a member of Salamonie Church of the Brethren in Lancaster. He was a 65-year member of the Mt. Etna Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Mt. Etna Order of the Eastern Star. He served as Past-Director of both Huntington County Farm Bureau and United REMC. He was a past member of the Farmers Union and the Ag Stabilization Board. He served as Past-President of the Mt. Etna Cemetery Board.

Clyde is survived by two sons - Larry M. (Joyce) Keiffer of LaFontaine and Richard D. (Kittie) Keiffer of Huntington; two sisters - Deloris Zuber of Virginia and Edith McMillan of Wabash; six grandchildren - Jennifer (Kevin) Jackson, Stephanie (Michael) Long, Terry (Natalie) Keiffer, Heather (James) Wolfe, Heath (Stacey) Keiffer, and Mason (Jill) Keiffer; and 14 great grandchildren.

His parents, his wife, two brothers - Frank Keiffer and Alva A. Keiffer, and one sister - Grace Munro, preceded him in death.
