Coal Valley. Jan 3 --- William Woolley, Sr. aged 82 years, resident of Coal Valley for the last sixty-four years, died in his home here at 7:35 this morning.

Mr. Woolley was born Dec. 18, 1847, in England and came to Americat at the age of 18 years. He came directly to Coal Valley where he had lived since. In the early days, Mr. Woolley was engaged in mining coal here and later, until his death, was actively engaged in gardening. On Jan. 28, 1873, he married Miss Margaret Fittall. Seven years ago they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Woolley is survived by his widow; two sons, George and John Woolley, who reside in the paternal home, three daughters, Mrs. Annie Spargo and Mrs. Richard Petty of Coal Valley and Mrs. Maggie Ells, of Ells, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. John M. Lees and Mrs. Jerry Lees of Coal Valley; two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Woolley of Coal Valley; seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
