Mrs. Rosalind Slater Motlow of Route 1, Lynchburg, wife of Conner Motlow, a Moore County businessman and farmer, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at Baptist Hospital, Nashville. She was 87. Her death was attributed to apparent heart failure.

A native of Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Addie and Bertram Slater and was a member of St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church in Tullahoma, where she was also a member of St. Mary's Guild.

Services were yesterday at St. Barnabus' Episcopal Church, with Dr. John Hight officiating. Burial was in the Harrison Funeral Home with Harrison Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors in addition to her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Mary Armour, Lynchburg, Mrs. Catherine Powell, Orange Beach, Alabama, Miss Elizabeth Motlow, Rochester, New York, and Miss Melinda Motlow, Mobile, Alabama; a sister, Mrs. W. E. Beck.
