A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at 21929 S.E. Tillstrom Road in Gresham for Laura M. Dockter, who died Dec. 24, 1998, at age 76.
Mrs. Dockter was born Feb. 6, 1922, in Portland. Her maiden name was Arquette. During World War II, she was a welder in the shipyards. Later, she was an assembler for Tektronix and then a sales clerk for Meier & Frank Co. and Sears Roebuck, retiring in the early 1980s. She married Rueben in about 1957; he died in 1987.
Survivors include her daughters, Lanni Small of Gresham and Lola Naff of Portland; sons, Bud Valera of Salem and Nick Valera of Portland; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her son, Manuel Valera, died in 1980.
Private interment will be in Riverview Abbey Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Riverview Abbey Funeral Home.
