Born on May 30, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Lena (Rassette) Genord, Paul grew up in Detroit, where he was a graduate of St. Bernard High School. At age twenty, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force to serve his country during the Korean War. After his service, he went to work for the Chrysler Corporation for over thirty years. Along with being a devoted and faithful member of St. Patrick Parish, he also enjoyed watching sports, especially Tiger baseball, Lion's football and, of course, his Fox News on the big screen TV. Paul was very sentimental; he enjoyed people and good conversation along with a good cold beer… or two. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and especially his grandchildren. They loved his stories and his unique vocabulary.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Germaine, in 1996, and is survived by his son, Steven (Janet); daughters, Ann Marie (Bill) Miller, Colette (Edward) Melton, Bonnie (Michael) Olszewski; and grandchildren, Paul, Matthew and Adam Genord, Amy, Steven, Mark and Nicole Miller, Jessica, Katelyn, Rebecca and Lyndsey Melton, and Joseph, Abbey and Peter Olszewski. Also surviving are his brothers, James Genord and Richard (Theresa) Genord, sisters, Carol (Leo) Super and Lois Panoff, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
