LeGrande Clark Ellis passed away suddenly on November 14, 2008, after a long history of heart disease, cancer and diabetes.


He was born on June 20, 1932 in Farmington, UT to Owen and Mary Ellis. He married the love of his life, Marilyn, on September 18, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After graduating from Davis High School in 1950, he attended Utah State University where he received Bachelor's and Master's degrees. He went on to earn a Ph.D in Physiology from Oklahoma State University and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Utah. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as Bishop, High Councilor, and in the High Priest Group leadership.


He is survived by his wife Marilyn, children, LuAnn (Tom) Willmore, Janet Maw, L. Clark (Shannon) Ellis, Julie (Lance) Hancock, Scott (Karen) Ellis, Jason (Jessica) Ellis, daughter-in law Robin Ellis, 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who love him dearly, brothers Richard (Beverly) Ellis, Stephen (Dee) Ellis, sisters Colleen (Steve) Love, Elaine (Paul) Beckstrand. He is preceded in death by his son Brent, and grandson Ethan.


Funeral Services will be held at noon on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Logan 19th Ward Building, 1255 North 600 East, Logan, UT. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 19th at the Allen Mortuary in North Logan from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Church on Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the Funeral Services.
