A former 25-year resident of Royal Oak, Arthur E. Hanes, age 56, Palmetto, Fla., died Wednesday in Blake Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Fla.
A 1937 graduate of Royal Oak High School, Mr. Hanes served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was retired from the J.L. Hudson Co. He married the former Jeanne M. Harrison on Jan 12, 1943, Royal Oak. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, William A., Ferndale; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Price, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Susan Swetnich, Almont; three grandchildren; his father, M.L., Bradenton; and a brother, Raymond, Royal Oak.
Funeral services will be held Friday at the Edwards Funeral Home, Palmetto.
