Virginia Mae (Lee) Hamilton, age 79 of Falcon, NC, died Friday, December 30, 2011 in her home.
Virginia was born on April 13, 1932 in McComas, West Virginia to Dudley Saunders Lee and Nora (Wolfrey) Lee. Virginia is a retired employee of Falcon Children's Home where she served first as houseparent with her husband, Enoch, and later as both Clothing Coordinator and Food Services Director. Prior to moving to Falcon in 1982, she lived in Baltimore, Maryland where she raised a large family and worked tirelessly in her church and community.
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 pm, Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Culbreth Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church in Falcon, NC by the Revs. Marty Warren, Ronald Hamilton, and Danny Nelson. Burial will follow in the Falcon Cemetery also in Falcon, NC.
Virginia is survived by her beloved husband of 60+ years, William Enoch Hamilton, and the following children: Ronald Hamilton and his wife Deborah of Marion, SC, Betty Lloyd and her husband Ralph of Cockeysville, MD, Jane Lloyd and her husband Stephen of Stewartstown, PA, Debra Hamilton of Riverside, CA, Josephine Turpin and her husband Clifton Jr of Falcon, NC, Karen Lucas and her husband Nassie (Chip) of Falcon, NC, and a deeply loved foster son, William Weese of Winston Salem, NC. Virginia is also survived by two brothers, three sisters, fifteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home in Dunn, NC.
