Nina Rogers Chappell 11/9/04 ~ 2/15/03 ROY— Nina Rogers Chappell, 98, passed away February 15, 2003. She was born November 9, 1904, in Bluff, Utah to David John and Elizabeth May Stevens Rogers. Nina married Arthur P. Chappell June 22, 1939, in Las Vegas. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in June 1957. Arthur died March 24, 1958. Nina operated Chappell's Service Station in Roy for 15 years after Arthur's death. Nina had a tender heart and disposition. Her inner happiness and sense of humor made her loved by all. She will be greatly missed for her unique personality, her poems, songs and stories. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Young, Carolyn Owens, one son-in-law, Richard Young, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister of 12 siblings, Lois Porter, 103. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
