MOTHER DIES

Lake County Native; Hold Funeral
Services at Hobart Today

HOBART-, May 27.--(Special)--Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon for Mrs. Harrietta Fifield, 73, mother of former Secretary of State, Otto G. Fifield and a native of Lake county, who died at her home in 912 Lillian St., yesterday.
Rev. William H. Bleam of the First Methodist church will conduct the service in the Owen Roper residence at 201 Center St. Burial will be in McCool cemetery.
Mrs. Fifield's death resulted from a heart attack which followed a long illness.
She lived all her life in Lake and Porter counties, having been born on a farm near Hobart in 1866, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Stephen Spencer. She married Zacheus Fifield in 1884. Her husband passed away 17 years ago.
Four sons and two daughters survive. They are Otto of Crown Point, Glen of Hebron, Dr. Hugo Fifield, a dentist of Pierre, S.D. Leo of Hobart, Mrs. Blanche Roper and Mrs. Elsie Dacey of Hobart. In addition Mrs. Fifield leaves 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
