She was born to the late H.B and Dorothy Knox on July 22, 1949 in Crockett, Texas. In 1967, she graduated from Crockett High School where she was Drum Major and Lion's Club Sweetheart. She later received her undergraduate and master's degrees from SMU in Dallas. She married Steven Buholz in 1971 and together they raised two children in Dallas.
She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Crockett and was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church during her many years in Dallas. She was in choir at both churches and enjoyed singing in the Messiah program in Dallas. Barbara had a wonderful relationship with God and loved to attend all church social events.
She is survived by her son Mark Buholz, daughter-in-law Stephanie and granddaughter Ainsley and by her daughter Katy Dennison, son-in-law Gabe Dennison and grandchildren Blake and Dylan.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Knox Buholz will be held at 2 pm, Saturday March 15th at Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
